Shiga-Kogen, Nagano
Host of the 1998 Winter Olympics and the largest ski resort in Japan, Shiga-Kogen has an amazing 21 interlinked resorts all on one lift ticket! Shiga has one of the longest seasons in Japan and the snow conditions and quality are excellent.

Yuzawa, Niigata
"The hot spa village" is the favourite ski resort town for Japanese, and apart from its 20 ski fields, is also loved for its food and sake. With excellent access from Tokyo - 80 minutes by bullet train, it is a great place for both family skiing and a cultural experience.

Niseko, Hokkaido
Powder, powder, powder. Niseko is made up of 57 runs consisting of 38 lifts and gondolas, totalling over 47 km in groomed slopes. There is a great variety of slopes to ensure everyone's tastes are catered for.

JR Pass
The Japan Rail Pass is a highly cost effective rail pass for foreign visitors to Japan. It provides unlimited travel on the nationwide network of Japan Railways (JR). If you are planning to visit more than one region of Japan, this is the way to go. You need to purchase a Rail Pass prior to departure, and Lets Go Australia is a Japan Rail Pass authorized agent in Perth and can issue a pass on the same-day.
